Director of Psychological Health (DPH) (Clinical Counselor) 

Serco is recruiting to fill the Director of Psychological Health (DPH) position to support the Wyoming Army National Guard (NG) Service members and their families. This position will be located in Cheyenne, WY. The NG DPH program mission is to increase individual and unit readiness and well being through the promotion of psychological health and resilience. The State DPH will ensure strategic support servicers to leadership, the units and local community, and provide direct services to Servicemembers and their families.

The DPH provides Strategic Services through consultation to State NG leadership on psychological health issues and integration of Military Service and DOD-wide psychological health initiatives and population-health monitoring. Through Community Capacity Building, the DPH will assist in development of a strategic plan for delivery of comprehensive services to support psychological health, promote the availability of and access to a continuum of care to Servicemembers. The DPH will ensure clinical mental health services are provided at the installation and community level and all services are integrated and coordinated. Through direct client services, the DPH will ensure coordination and access for clinical, counseling, and other services which promote Servicemember and family psychological health and resiliency.

Masters and/or Doctorate degree in a clinical or administrative mental health field from an accredited college or university recognized by the corresponding professional association(s).

Current state license or state certification to practice at the independent level as a mental health practitioner (e.g. social worker, clinical psychologist, marriage and family counselor, and professional counselor) in WI.

Demonstrated capability to complete accurate bio-psycho-social assessments including substance abuse assessments and ability to participate in NG sponsored Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder training. Demonstrated skill in performing phone counseling

Minimum of five years of clinical or administration mental health care experience after receiving the qualifying graduate degree for this position.

Campbell County Medical Center in Gillette, WY.seeks the following:
Part-Time Medical Social Worker: Works under the supervision of the Manager, Patient and Guest Services. Provides assistance to patients and their families in the form of counseling, discharge planning, and resource referral appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Responsible for implementation, evaluation and management of social services programs for CCMH. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work or (if Bachelor prepared will work under MSW clinical consultation). Minimum 3 years experience in social service field, 1 of which should be in Health care. Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, family, co-workers and the public.

Counselor III: Works under the supervision of the clinical supervisor and director to provide services to individuals, families, and groups. Performs assessments, testing and evaluation for clients. Provides psychotherapy, consultation, and psycho educational services to a diverse population. Participates in normal on call rotation. Provides community education and consultations , participates in treatment teams. Adheres to the standards of Wyoming Professional License and the rules and regulation for professional standards.
Qualifications: Must have experience treating alcoholism and drug abuse (dual diagnosis) on an individual and group basis; capable and willing to work with children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Must be licensed or provisionally licensed as a Licensed Additions Therapist (LAT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LSW). The addition of a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) and/or Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as defined by the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) is highly desirable. Must have excellent computer skills as well as be a fast learner with new computer programs and other technologies. Must be a flexible team player with a positive, can-do attitude that works equally well under direct supervision as they do independently. Must be able to meet the minimum productivity standard of 1100 face to face billable hours a year (individual therapy = 1/1 and groups = 2/1 ratio).

Position Title: Counselor
Department: Substance Abuse Counselor
Location: Newcastle, WY- Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp
Salary: $19.24/hr; $40,000/year. This is a full time, benefited position.
Duties: This position will be responsible for the counseling and case management of clients in the Substance Abuse Program.

Requirements: Must possess knowledge of chemical dependency, substance abuse and personality dynamics associated with criminal sub-cultures; Graduation from an accredited four-year college with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology. Position Title: Senior Counselor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Under close supervision, provides investigative, protective and social service intervention to children and families involved in neglect, abuse or delinquency problems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides non-clinical crisis intervention services.
  • Determines client needs for basic social services for children and adults.
  • Carries a caseload and keeps all case file documentation current.
  • Works directly with the institution or facility to develop and monitor a comprehensive plan of treatment for youth in the community (home) and/or placement, including foster care and residential.
  • Monitors, assesses, and addresses community service and restitution needs and maintains a schedule of restitution responsibilities.
  • Develops discharge plans with facility, youth, and family prior to discharge from facility.
  • Interviews clients, periodically reassessing client needs and referring clients to community resources or other agency personnel.
  • Prepares assessments, designs case plans, evaluates progress of participants, and makes and monitors appropriate placements.
  • Provides aftercare services to help families successfully transition with children coming out of placement.
  • Provides intensive supervised probation and ensures compliance with conditions of probation as ordered by the court.
  • Ensures compliance with court orders through random chemical screening for substance abuse, home and office visits, employment checks, curfew and school attendance checks and weekly meetings with high risk juveniles and families.
  • Provides group educational sessions in cognitive skills and to help develop pro-social behaviors.
  • Prepares for and testifies in court, preliminary hearings, multi-disciplinary team meetings, family partnership meetings, and court hearings.
  • Prepares court reports for foster, adoptive, and social studies.
  • Performs investigations.
  • Appears and represents high risk juveniles during pre-adjudication hearings, three month/quarterly reviews, status hearings, and revocation arraignments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of available resources in the community.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to Social Work including ICWA, ICPC, AFCARS, ASFA, and others.
  • Knowledge of the court system, juvenile protection laws, federal and state laws.
  • Knowledge of Department of Family Services' policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of human development, family dynamics, human behavior psychology, child psychology, child abuse and neglect.
  • Knowledge of mental illnesses, medications, capacity, and competency.
  • Knowledge of accepted best practices of social services.
  • Computer skills, including word processing and the WYCAPS database.

PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice or Administration of Justice.
